I’m heading out to the 1 up Awards now and wanted to make a quick note regarding the weekly round of Top Games on Xbox Live over at www.majornelson.com and it looks like Call of Duty 4 is holding fast on it’s lead at #1!!
I’m going to be talking with Major Nelson later this week (tomorrow or the next day) on his Podcast here at GDC and I’m sure the “ping pong” match for the “King of Xbox Live” between Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 will probably be amongst the things we talk about.
Well, I’m off to the awards, I’ll post another quick update after the awards and let you know how we fare. Thanks everyone!!

1up Awards re-cap:
10:00 PM and back at the hotel after the 1up Awards. We didn’t take home the top prize this time, the 1up Readers Choice GOTY award went to the well-deserved Bioshock.
There’s another award show tomorrow night, the GDC Choice awards, I’m gonna try to make that one, not sure if it interferes with any interview schedules yet, but if not I’ll be sure to attend and let you know how that one goes! Gonna go to sleep a bit early tonight as interviews start first thing tomorrow morning and go all day long so I’ll need the rest. See ya tomorrow guys!

i know its head of te ps3 online gaming community and that its hitting hard on the PC front as well.. ALOT of battlefield players are playing CoD4 and not looking back..
with all the hours being logged in i can only hope that you guys at IW ktry tour best to keep teh game fresh and interesting as well as tackle teh cheaters hackers and stat padders instead of turning your backs on them like most companies do.
and alow skin choices for the second weapon for the overkill perk.. we need our 2 golds

Fu(k BioSHock…It isn’t half as good as COD4… It doesnt even have multiplayer…NO replay value!

Bioshock was focused on single player and did a good job. Although I’m not sure which I liked better, CoD4 sucked me in. I swear by the end it actually hurt when I got shot.

@justine: Don’t know what platform you use for online play, but can’t blame IW for Microsofts flaws if you use XBOX Live… And wtf does IW’s families have to do with anything. I suggest you get back on the pills your doctor prescribed and leave violent games in favor for Scrabble or something… You clearly have some issues to deal with…

Thats great. Now, lets get this patch released and get some new maps out before we start losing a large chunk of the community to the upcoming spring releases. Or you could drag your heels and release the maps like treyarch did and nobody will buy them or play your game anymore. I for one am a little dissappointed with how long all of this is taking. Love the game, don’t get me wrong, but I think you’re cutting it a little close.

@justine: True, you don’t have to explain anything to me. You are entitled to your opinion. But dragging the IW teams family members into the discussion isn’t very productive is it? I agree on that CoD 4 should have been patched months ago and that MS (since i use XBOX Live for online play) should have fixed some major issues. My guess is that senseless rambling and verbal threats/abuse doesn’t speed the above mentioned process up at all. Agree?
