Heads up to our PS3 players… Double XP on the PSN will be extended until Wednesday, at which point we’ll be shutting it off and then adding the new maps to the rotation on the existing play lists.
It was great playing with a lot of you guys this past Friday, I ranked up about 20 levels thanks to Double XP just in the hours during the “Play With Devs” event.
In short, get your double XP until Wednesday, and then enjoy the new maps on your favorite playlists.

Still no word on a Japan release date? My Japanese game updated to 1.3, but still not maps. (The new game modes are in English, but i still cant use the Maps from the US store that I mistakingly downloaded). Any ideas? Will the JP maps be available in the US store?

hmm… nice move but, sony still has got the wrong map pack (BLES 0014
in the swiss (german language) store… and no one that has bought the game officially can play the new maps.
They tell everyone that the wrong version of the game has been bought and we should go back to the shops… but there was no other version sold here. This is a bad situation for us customers…

I havent found this double XP as good as I thought it would be.
I saved loads of guns at 145 kills expecting to get 2000 when I got 150 but that never worked.
Also not getting that many kills on the new levels, I’m getting more points just playing headquarters

@ Phil: he already answered about patch 1.6, so u won’t see it before map contest is over, i guess we ll have to wait something like two monthes.
@402: in one of your precedent post, u wrote about the cod tv, u said it wasn’t a priority but that u personnaly, would like to see a such thing on pc. Can u submit this point to the developpers, just to know if they may work on it ( or give the keys to allow community to make it) ?

Maps are great..! Had a lot of fun learning them and playing them. Ranked up 40 lvls!
Will there be more Hardcore modes? Will they be separated like the others? (hopefully, got tired of HC S&D all the time)
And did you devs have any problems with the Host thingy? Just wondering. Happens a lot… but still a great game. Anyway, hope to be able to see you on the PS3 soon and play!

How will the map rotation and gameplay work with those who did not buy the Map Pack? When the game rotates to one of the new maps, will the player be kicked?
If so, if the player is the host will everyone be booted or will it migrate to a new host?

Good to hear about the 2x exp. extended to wednesday, wanted to finish up the next prestige.
Killhouse would be great to play once in awhile, we did some private matches. It is a killfest but quite fun (cuz it’s new).
Love the maps, very detailed and fun to play. Too bad couldn’t play the dev’s………

Any word on adding killhouse into other playlists? I have yet to play this map still (360) because I only play hc tdm, but i would love to see hq or tdm. Please make this happen!

I have a few questions. I also posted this in your forum sticky but want to make sure you see this.
How will the new maps be handled in rotation when:
(1) the Host has the map pack (will players without the map pack get kicked out of the lobby?)
(2) the Host doesn’t have the map pack (will the new maps ever come up in rotation or if they do, does the original Host get kicked out and it migrates to a new Host that has the map pack?
What playlists will the new maps come up in:
(1) Assuming that Creek, China Town and Broadcast will be added to the same list, but which ones?
(2) What playlists will Killhouse be added to?
Also, if it isn’t too much of a bother, can you please give us info on the new Host Migration. It seems to be working sporadically now.

Seeing as GTA IV has been released, I hope this doesn’t further distance IW from such promotional events for the PS3 community in the future. When the maps were released for the X360, there was nothing else on the horizon that would distract them from gobbling up the new maps and making COD4 the number 1 game in town as far as XBL. But this, could look like the PS3 folks are shunning IW, when that is not the case. It is merely a moment of bad timing on the part of scheduling a release. Metal Gear Online’s Beta also put itself in a similar situation when it delayed the beta release by a week, making it overlap the GTA IV release date. I imagine both are going to take an unforeseen, hit as far as perceived popularity and hopefully neither take it as a sign of the community’s lack of enthusiasm for either product.

PC doesn’t have prestige so theres really no point in double xp for us since we get to lvl 55 by putting in a solid week of playing. Any chance for Prestige for PC?

Apparently the new maps are going into the normal rotation for everyone. So basically, we all bought the Map Packs so we could play a week earlier than everyone else and participate in Double XP weekend.
Those who didn’t buy the map packs will now be able to play them even if they didn’t buy them. OK. I guess I’ve spent $10 a lot worse

Well, now it is thursday and double XP are still going strong and the maps are not integraded. I will demand a refund from Playstation online Store if not fixed by monday. My lawyer says that they do not stand a chanse in this.

Wow four zero two I gotta thank you for the information man. I do a good job of keeping my illiterate internet friends in the loop with your site here. Also hats off to I dub for the double xp weekend I went up 71 levels in all, working on getting to that eigth prestige
But I do have a question is Kill House strictly a Free for All and Cage Match map? Or is it going to be integrated into the normal play for everything. If so shweet, if not, I can see why it would not be, to small, triple nades, spawn camping ect. But it is a question that I have been grilled about by my friends yet I can’t seem to find much about it on the net. I don’t know if I played against any of the devs friday night, but I was on, and played so many games my eyes dried out, either way, double xp was shweet thanx.

Why haven’t the new maps been added to the playlists when you said they would be by Wednesday and its now 6:00p.m. CST Thursday. Im getting sick of constantly playing, Domination and Sabotage. I would like 2 get back to regular S&D with the new maps, so please give us a head’s up with actual information, not your own hopes and dreams on when things will get solved.
